What is Melody?
A Melody is a string of notes or a voice, not in a chord, that gives movement and foreground to the song. Any single voice gathering of notes that change pitch is a melody however dissonant it may sound. Most of the exercise we learned are melodies, most exercises cooperate between hands to make a string of notes usually without a harmony. So theoretically you aren't going to learning anything new about melodies just the way they are going to be played.

Right Hand Lead
Yes, that is correct now all the hard work is going to the right hand fingers, they will be giving all the style to the song/riff. Because soon you will have to make both hands tap something different so you need to practice making melodies with your tapping fingers. This first exercise is a celtic/country riff that is pretty fun to play and I want everybody to learn it at fast as you can, that is the only way your gonna get the best out of the sound.
Go ahead you know you want to:
Here is the run down.. as you can see all your left hand is doing is baring the 1st and 2nd strings on the 5th fret. And your right hand is doing the melody and performing all of the complicated work.
